Hello, I'm Simon Chappell and this is my website. I live in South-West Wisconsin, a very beautiful region of the United States of America.

The short version of my biography is that I'm a British guy (a kind of geeky one incase you couldn't tell) who came over to America, in 1994, for a six month stint on behalf of a previous instance of benevolent employer. While here, I met a nice young American lady, stayed (legally), got married, found lots of work as a computer programmer, had kids, received my American citizenship, pastored a church for 18 years and now divide my time between driving a big yellow school bus, my writing ministry, helping around the house and cooking delicious meals several times a week.

My hobbies and activities over the years have included Judo, Sea Kayaking, Role Playing games (mostly AD&D), landscape photography (which I need to post more examples of), target shooting and driving my Jeep Wrangler with the music turned up and the top back whenever possible.

For reasons that anyone who has read many comments on the Internet will understand, I have no commenting ability on my blog, but being slightly crazy, I'm going to share my email address (simon@simonpeter.com), so feel free to email me if you have a comment or suggestion. Non-spam comments stand a good chance of getting a reply. I have had and used this email address for about 30 years, so I doubt that there's a spammer out there that doesn't have it by now. My spam filter in the Thunderbird Email Client that I use does a good job of catching spam, so I'm not too worried.
